Leidos Corporate has an opening for Conference and Dining Services Manager in Reston, VA. In this role, you will be an integral member of the Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Department, and teams with fellow department members to ensure Facilities are maintained to the highest standard.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direction in the development, promotion, and operation of the Leidos Global Headquarters conference facilities to meet the business needs of our internal and external customers.

Responsible for the procedural and operational aspects of the facility and manage the logistics and design of the meeting rooms and ensuring events..

Develop and implement the use policies and procedures that support the objectives of Leidos Conference Facilities.

Direct a staff of various vendor/subcontractors and responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the room reservation system (EMS).
- Develop and implement strategies and tactics to maximize conference center utilization.
- Codify corporate policies around space use by internal and external entities (including rules, fees, catering, alcohol usage and processes).
- Responsible for management, implementation and use of Corporate-wide room scheduling system. Configure facilities in EMS, training new center employees, and convey policies and procedures to employees.
- Responsible for establishing job standards for subordinate staff and effectively evaluating staff under charge.
- Primary CRE Lead for high level onsite events such as Board of Directors meetings, Corporate Responsibility Events, Achievement Awards, Town Halls, etc.
- Direct the scheduling of meeting rooms and supporting conferences, training sessions, and social events conducted within Reston HQ. Responsible for resolving scheduling conflicts among clients.
- Manage inter and extra-company collaboration (e.g. Security, IT, Communications, JLL, Boston Properties, etc.) to successfully complete day-to-day duties.
- Provide oversight and direction to subcontracted support staff to include the Conference, AV and Dining Services vendors that support Leidos events.
- Represent Leidos as the primary customer interface for all Conference Facilities and services inquiries (e.g., usages, policies, availability, rental, layout, food, AV support, etc.)
- Monitor and produce reports regarding activity, demand and use of the facility.
- Serve customers proactively to ensure productive, enjoyable and well-executed conference and events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience in large conference center and major event administration.
- At least two (2) years of work experience in managing and using event management software.
- Experience planning and executing major events.
- Experience in staff supervision and team management.
- Ability to handle multiple customer and organizational demands with a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to operate independently with a high degree of autonomy.
- Conference center product and industry knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
- Highly organized and very detail-oriented.
- Superior interpersonal skills and outstanding communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Conference Planning, Marketing, Hotel Management or Business Administration
- Experience with EMS event management software
