The Vice President of Sales and Business Development reports to the President of NTT and is a member of the company’s leadership team. This position is responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, distribution and sales strategy. This position ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through planning, deployment and management of sales personnel and identifying objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

]Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy, tactics, sales forecasts, plans, pricing and profit targets for the sales team to meet and exceed NTT sales objectives
  • Responsible for setting and assigning individual sales quotas for team, which directly align with company goals
  • Partner with leadership team to identify and implement sales process improvements
  • Lead and manage the daily operations and performance of NTT’s sales organization
  • Define and set sales goals for the sales teams and for each sales representative, both Outside Sales and Inside Sales teams
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
  • Lead new sales growth
  • Drive sales of NTT’s services and products
  • Coach and manage each sales representative through consistently scheduled meetings and territory reviews
  • Formulate sales policies, practices, and procedure
  • Travel with sales representatives to client visits and works with each sales representative to develop relationships with clients
  • Develop new clients and prospects with sales representatives
  • Provide leadership to the sales team, and organization as whole
  • Meet regularly with NTT leadership to align with NTT company objectives and to help guide the growth of NTT
  • Provide ongoing results assessments of sales team’s productivity
  • Work with marketing team to plan and implement marketing strategies across multiple channels; including website, blogs, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, mailing and advertising channels
  • Oversee and maintain industry partnerships

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • College degree; a degree in marketing or business is preferred
  • 7+ years of successful B2B sales & strategy experience in comparable industries, with 3-4 years in a management position
  • Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment
  • Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills. Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team
  • Some experience or training in the manufacturing sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience preferred
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Experience with leading a dedicated lead-generation sales or marketing team that produced consistent new sales leads preferred
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
