Vice President of Operations

• Provides direct daily management oversight of key government contract
• Successfully oversees a multi-million dollar IT contract to include: planning, organizing, reporting, and directing
• Identifies and supports organic and new business growth for the organization
• Works with Business Development to pursue and capture new business
• Assists in strategic planning in support of annual BU goals and objectives
• Assists in pipeline development and management
• Participates in customer meetings and interactions
• Provides leadership and management including: Technical and Management solution development, Proposal development and response, Pricing, etc.
• Develops a client-specific strategic marketing plan
• Ensures superior client satisfaction in the execution of Operations
• Implements potentially profitable short- and long-term programs and processes to optimize work flow
• Works with company’s small business advocate to track and manage SB/SDB particpation that meets or exceeds goals
• Supports the idenitification of new teaming partners to meet new or different requirements, or who bring value to the company and out customer
• May review and approve plans to control budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, new areas of technology and customer service efficiency
• Reviews contract performance against operating plans
• Collaborates with other departments and segments of management to establish and execute contract management responsibilties
• Develops, manages and trains task/project managers and technical supervisors
• Reports directly to the BU Senior Vice President and/or General Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
• At least fifteen (15) years business experience
• At least ten (10) years progressive program management experience, preferably in a government IT consulting environment

• Master’s Degree
• Navy Surface Warfare systems and/or mission process understanding and experience

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

• Sitting for long periods
• Standing for long periods
• Ambulate throughout an office
• Ambulate between several buildings
• Ambulate on board naval surface warfare ship, including both in-dock and underway movement (stepping over objects, traversing ladders and/or stairs between decks, lodging in tight quarters)
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
• Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
• Travel by land or air transportation 25%
