Neenah is actively searching for a Vice President of Operational Excellence to join our Global Operations Team. As the SME for Continuous Improvement, the VP of Operational Excellence will be a global thought leader, responsible for executing the vision and course of the Neenah Operating System (NOS). This position will participate in the deployment of strategy, initiatives, associated activities and roadmaps. S/he will direct efforts within the leadership team to become best in class for safety and delivery, improve quality, reduce waste, and maximize process performance. Success in this position of high influence will require strong leadership through strategic training, coaching, project management and effective facilitation of the transformation process and events. Their action oriented team will partner with operations to identify areas of process improvement and execute specific production projects and implement the Neenah Operating System across multiple functions and locations. This is a newly created position, for an organization in the early stages of their Lean journey. It will be key that the incumbent leads teams to embrace a new practice, encourage all to lead with a process thinking mindset and promote best practice sharing across facilities. NOS will be deployed across the organization in a manner that empowers employees and creates a high level of personal accountability. The VP of Operational Excellence needs to be visible in the plants and be a trusted partner and expert resource to the plant managers and operational leaders.

Qualifications:

Do these qualifications describe you?
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience, with end to end supply chain responsibilities in a world class Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Lives continuous improvement as a way of life, translating strategy into execution.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Reliability Engineering
  • Proven hands on experience facilitating a multi-function transformation (required)
  • Strategic thinker with ability to collaborate with the business from an owner/general manager standpoint
  • Demonstrated experience sustaining kaizen based improvements over multiple years
  • Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated data and fact based problem solving skills rooted in Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Global, cross cultural experience
  • 4+ years’ experience leading a team of managers and individual thinkers while developing their continuous improvement skills and personal growth
