JOB SUMMARY

Reporting Relationships

The Vice President of Corporate Finance with Financial Planning & Analysis, New Business Finance and Treasury reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the company. This role manages a team of finance professionals, including, direct Senior Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, VP of New Business Finance and others.

Responsibilities

Developing the company s short- and long-term financial plans, and identifying opportunities to improve the company s profitability. He/she leads and/or supports analytical projects in support of business decisions on investments (e.g., equipment purchase, construction projects), transactions (e.g., acquisitions, outsourcing), and continuous cost improvement (e.g., MS-DRG profitability). He/she develops and analyzes various profitability reporting structures, including various segments (e.g., TBD) to gain insights for improvement. This executive is also the primary interface with the Operations Finance teams, providing support, consolidation, and consultative services, and acts as finance business partner to the corporate functions, providing consulting, control/oversight, and planning services. Also, supports the Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer in finance support for growth efforts. Lastly, the executive will be responsible for the new treasury function of as Conifer evolves to support a corporate spin.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project financial trends and impacts related to internal and external environmental changes.
  • Coordinate and review capital expenditures, capital allocations and capital planning.
  • Build financial models (balance sheet, cash flow, income statement) and general financial decision making templates and direct routine and ad-hoc financial analysis and various management reporting.
  • Provide training and development of improved analytical processes across the company.
  • Prepare and/or provide information for inclusion in board presentations, investor presentations, SEC filings and earnings guidance.
  • Act as liaison with IS and other corporate functions on various company-wide projects, including acting as the business lead for the approved Business Intelligence project.
  • Interface closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and other executive team members as the planning and analysis expert.
  • Create a vision and execute a plan for a streamlined, consistent, and accurate analytical system and processes (includes IT, tools, processes/policies, skills, etc); act as analysis gatekeeper for all critical financial analysis.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
  • An MBA and/or CPA designation is preferred
