Overview:[

In this role, you will support the FBI’s CJIS/NCIC division’s software development and integration of the N3G Concepts that are to be developed using an off-premise Cloud solution. The overall technical environment includes: AWS/Cloud, Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Linux. With software development being done with technologies such as: Java, JavaScript, ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, etc.), and Hadoop. These opportunities will be available in any of the following four locations: Washington, DC; Clarksburg, WV; Pocatello, ID; Huntsville, AL.

]Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology.
  • Responsible to remove the impediments for the scrum team.
  • Arrange daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demos and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
  • Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint.
  • Responsible for conducting retrospective meetings.
  • Organizes and facilitates the sprint planning meeting.


Requirements

  • Must hold an active Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
  • You will be able to demonstrate at least five (5) years of Scrum Master experience.
  • You will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the following areas:
  • Exhibiting Lean-Agile leadership and helping team members embrace Agile values, adopting and applying Agile Principles, and implementing Agile practices.
  • Keeping the team focused on daily and iteration goals; and helps achievement with respect to quality, flow and velocity.
  • Facilitating the team’s retrospective and leading the team’s improvement efforts.
  • Facilitating all team meetings, including, but not limited to, the daily stand-up, Iteration Planning, Team Demo, and Iteration Retrospective.
  • Supporting the Product Owner with respect to priorities and scope.
  • Actively addressing impediments such as getting support from other teams when required.
  • Promoting Agile quality practices so the team can meet its goals.
  • Providing communication to other Agile teams.
  • Coordinating with other Agile teams, such as participation in the Scrum of Scrums meeting.
  • Guiding the team in estimating the team’s work.
  • Leading an Agile development team that has implemented microservice architectures for web and application services using virtual instances, load balancing, automated surge capability, and integrated performance monitoring.
  • Implementing security controls required by Federal information systems.
  • You will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the following areas:
  • Leading an Agile development team that has experience with automating application deployments, scaling and management.
  • You will have one (1) of the following Agile certifications:
  • SAFe Advanced Scrum Master with SASM Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
  • Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance
  • Agile Certified Professional from Project Management Institute

Desired
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study.
