Scrum Master will be the team lead for the development of product backlog, prioritization and for all sprint planning and reviews. You will assist with team and program coordination and communicating with the Program Manager, developers and upper management. You have a proven track record as a Scrum Master and can demonstrate initiative and determination in assuring the team has a robust well managed Scrum process. You will be part of a team dedicated to drive change and remove impediments resulting in the delivery of solutions across a wider user base. Excel in communication and human dynamics and constantly on the lookout for ways to improve status quo, able to maintain a broad perspective while paying attention to details and take pride in your work.
Key responsibilities
- Work within the core delivery team empowered/tasked with design, development, modification, and implementation of computer applications, and building high performing delivery teams.
- Serve as Scrum Master/Agile Coach
- Utilize project coordination expertise and tools such as Azure DevOps Server / Team Foundation Server to support upstream and downstream teams throughout SDLC.
- Lead all Scrum related ceremonies, including: daily standup, grooming sessions, sprint retrospectives, and sprint planning ceremonies
- Engage stakeholders, contributors and technical resources to analyze user needs and resource limitations.
- Facilitate the discussions of complex, high value IT delivery projects that require the coordination of development work or technology work on multiple platforms to achieve desired functionality.
- Provide leadership in identifying iterative process improvements and methods to streamline adoption of the methodology
- Serve as knowledge source within project teams as assigned.
- Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders. Support solicitation of input and feedback from stakeholders and users after each sprint.
- Represent the team daily at the Scrum of Scrums meeting to report impediments for escalation.
- Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner.
- Track and produce key metrics, support Deliverables to include Release Burn Down Charts, Sprint Burn Down Charts, Burnup, cumulative flow, velocity and sprint summations for the customer and the team
- Act as a conduit to other teams and LOBs with which the team is interacting. Take initiative and act as a leader to foster collaboration and communication between team members on technical issues, on process improvements, and in addressing and escalating project risks and issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree
- 2-5 yearsâ experience leading Agile Scrum teams/servicing as a Scrum Master/Coach
- Scrum Master certification (preferred)
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Agile experience/knowledge of key agile techniques including SAFe, Kanban, Lean, and Scrum Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience in iterative methodologies (Agile/Scrum)- leading Scrum meetings, Sprints, Product Backlogs, Burn Down Charts, and/or Develop User Stories
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, strong coaching and communication skills
- Very strong facilitation, planning and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum certification
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle for iterative implementations
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments
- Understanding of the role of software development tools and processes such as version control, defect and issue trackers, build processes, team collaboration tools
- Experience working with dispersed teams, and using online communication tools such as GoToMeeting and Zoom, or similar
- Experience working with many development teams (varied personalities and communication styles)
- Experience managing deployment processes
