About CVP
CVP seeks a Scrum Master to work with an agile team and maintain oversight and delivery of the team’s backlog. The Scrum Master must demonstrate a track record of managing agile teams and deploying solutions within a complex, matrix environment using Scaled Agile methodologies, across an Integrated Project Team (IPT).
The professional in this role must be a results-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and must be able to demonstrate excellent IT Project Management, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. The Scrum Master will be responsible for working with varied stakeholders to execute project requirements and meet stakeholder expectations. This professional will work with the Program Director and other stakeholders to complete implementation of the system on time and on schedule.
]Responsibilities:
- Guide the team’s operations by facilitating ceremonies (e.g. daily standup, sprint planning) and instilling Agile principles into daily activities to ensure smooth functioning of the delivery team.
- Facilitate internal and external communications (e.g. task coordination, progress tracking/reporting, dependency management).
- Work with development team to drive team velocity.
- Manage and plan development team capacity.
- Coach and Train development team and business stakeholders on Definition of Ready and Definition of Done as applicable.
- Coach and mentor development team members around Agile methodologies.
- Develop training plans.
- Identify team training and tool needs.
- Understand, identify and encourage behaviors necessary to drive maturity in an agile environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to build trust and cohesion with the development team(s).
- Work with the Program Manager to define quality measures for each sprint; define critical success factors for the development team.
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT field.
- 15 years’ professional experience in software development with 5- years’ experience working as a Scrum master is accepted in lieu of education.
- A minimum of 12 years’ professional experience in software development (BA, tester or developer experience on an agile team will be considered applicable).
- Of the 12 years, 5 years’ experience working as a Scrum Master.
- Scrum Master certification (may be CSM, PSM or SSM or equivalent).
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) Framework.
- Project Management knowledge (PMP or equivalent certification not required).
