]The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global R&D Product Development organization of Dematic and work on scrum teams, based primarily in Grand Rapids, that develop software to help global customers manage and optimize their supply chain operations.
As a scrum master, you will support multiple teams to work with customers and product owners to manage a prioritized backlog, plan and deliver work with high velocity, and interact directly with customers to incorporate feedback. You will work to remove impediments for teams, and support continuous improvement work through team retrospectives and active coaching. You will facilitate sprint planning and sprint demos as well as project reviews with stakeholders, and work with peers to improve agile development practices, including our interactions with product management, internal customers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as scrum master for one or more teams and support team success
- Remove impediments to help team achieve goals with increasing velocity
- Guide teams in continuous improvement on scrum practices
- Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning and sprint reviews, and other stakeholder meetings
- Guide controls projects through lifecycle from requirements through to customer acceptance
- Work with product owners to maintain product backlog, prioritization, and estimation
- Contribute to a strong community of practice with other project managers and scrum masters
- Work with other stakeholders to ensure organizational and customer readiness for each release
- Engage directly with customers and customer-facing teams to analyze feedback and issues
- Communicate honestly with stakeholders to facilitate discussion and decision-making
- Support process transformation to Agile methods across the global R&D organization
- Define, drive and assist in defining standardized metrics to support effective project management
- Build strong partnerships to align activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve project and business goals
- Act as an advocate for the Global Controls Development organization in working with internal stakeholders
What We Are Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
PMP and/or ScrumMaster certification is an asset.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working on agile projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time with significant complexity
- Proven success in using Scrum practices to deliver incremental software in defined iterations
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, whiteboarding and presentation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done
- A thorough understanding of Agile software development principles and practices
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalents) for managing scrum projects
- Thorough understanding of firmware and controls project metrics to ensure projects achieve their goals
- Ability to work with teams to remove impediments and support continuous improvement
- Deep technical knowledge of software or firmware engineering and testing, especially in an Agile context
- Ability to think strategically to execute both short and long term technology planning
- Proven success acting as a change agent to lead and support organizational changes
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including executives and customers
- Business analyst skills to understand and prioritize stakeholder requirements would be an asset
- Familiarity with data analytics, data warehouses, and cloud infrastructure would be an asset
- Firmware development or firmware testing experience would be an asset
- Controls Hardware development or hardware testing experience would be an asset
- Software development or software testing experience would be an asset
