We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Technical Project Manager in our Tolland CT headquarters. Local candidates only; no relocation assistance provided.


Salesforce Technical Project Manager:
As the Salesforce Technical Project Manager, you will be working on transformation initiatives with a strong focus on Salesforce CRM, Pardot, SAP Integration, and IT projects. Reporting to the IT Applications Director, you will play a key role in defining, configuring SFDC and assisting with IT strategy to support our company’s transformation. As Salesforce Technical Project Manager, you will establish and maintain relationships with business process owners in order to effectively deliver technology solutions. You will be working in a global environment, where you are in close contact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, giving you the opportunity to build a strong network across functions and further develop your personal and professional skills.

]Responsibilities:

  • Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology (SDLC, Waterfall and Agile).
  • Lead planning and/or implementation of Salesforce projects. Participate in the architecture, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and/or support phases.
  • Work closely with Salesforce architects, technical teams, functional analysts to deliver project scope on time, on budget and with high quality.
  • Configure the Salesforce system to meet business needs by understanding business processes, interpreting change requests and implementing changes.
  • Assist with the following:
  • End user support, consultation, and requirements elicitation
  • Apex development when needed
  • Lightning Flow & Process Builder development
  • System administration, design, and development
  • Change set management
  • User / Permissions management and controls
  • External system integrations including designing and testing system integrations
  • Information Systems Configuration, Research, Change Management, and Integration
  • Includes OSS/BSS/ERP, accounting, field service management, and other systems
  • Gathering requirements, designing, testing, to implement new and change existing information systems
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding the Salesforce project, technology and functionality.
  • Use Salesforce experience to develop accurate work estimates, project budgets and timelines with the technical project resources
  • Responsibility for identifying required project staff based upon their technical and functional expertise including monitoring and mentoring them through the Project lifecycle.
  • Exercise required project delivery controls and propose improvements as required, including quality plans, issues and action logs, risk management plans and change control plans, for all aspects of the assignment.
  • Develop and maintain written business requirements documents and technical design specification documents.
  • Developing, maintaining, and providing status updates for the following: Master Project Schedule, Project Plans, and Master Resource Plan.
  • Ability to influence Senior Leadership in a highly matrixed environment, evaluates and recommends new technical directions and approaches to senior management.
  • Development and implementation of tools to support disciplines such as Pipeline Management, Sales Execution, Account Planning, CPQ, Pardot, Service Cloud, etc.
  • Structured and timely communication to all business stakeholders and ensure the leadership team understands project status and risks.
  • Interact and coordiante software upgrades, product demos, and service/project deliverywith software vendors and 3rd service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business.
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience and 7+ years working in complex IT environments.
  • 7+ years implementing and supporting Salesforce CRM & customer facing solutions.
  • 7+ years technical / software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com Platform and best practices
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Visualforce, JAVA, HTML, APEX preferred.
  • Salesforce.com Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Administration experience
  • Salesforce Certifications Preferred: Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform DeveloperI
  • Other Salesforce Certifications a Plus: Systems integration, Platform App Builder, Integration Architecture Designer, Platform Developer 2
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP type systems a plus
  • Experience with API and integration technologies, including REST, JSON, and XML
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
  • Salesforce Administrator certification strongly preferred (or other demonstration of in-depth Salesforce knowledge and experience).
  • Experience working with Pardot and Service Cloud a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).

Desired Skills:
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce functionality and integrations.
  • Salesforce Integration experience to SAP, Pardot, and/or e-Commerce Solutions a plus.
  • Lead cross-functional team identifying system improvements, developing requirements and testing.
  • Strong analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to design and architect solutions.
  • A proven track record of defining and delivering complex IT strategy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Positive and Agile mindset with focus on solving complex challenges.
  • Able to obtain root-cause explanation for performance variances.
  • Must have strong computer skills in MS Excel and Access.
