This position is located in Tysons, Va and provides program management expertise and business development support.

]Responsibilities:

  • Management of complex projects ensuring that goals, requirements, and outcomes are defined and that the appropriate resources are allocated
  • Monitor team performance to ensure that projects are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones and established project standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire process of each project’s development and execution
  • Prioritize tasks, set deadlines and assign resources to each project
  • Track cost, schedule and performance, as well as prepare documents and develop policy, procedures and report status to all levels
  • Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and execution
  • Managing task assignments and oversight of personnel to ensure excellence in services delivery
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and ensure such deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion and of high quality/accuracy. When appropriate, propose a plan to correct any cost variances or projected rate adjustments
  • Prepare briefing charts, scheduled meetings, kept records and record minutes, prepare after-action reports in support of technical reviews and investment reviews
  • Ensure program compliance with government policies and mandates, and adherence to directives from governing entities
  • Anticipate and resolves procurement challenges and problems, such as small business set aside goals, certification requirements, and acquisition strategy
  • Foster positive working relationships with client personnel and leadership counterparts
  • Work with LMI and LMI business partners to pursue new business opportunities
  • Support business development and bid and proposal efforts for opportunities, bringing together capabilities across LMI to define a solution that meets and exceeds client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in program management, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Five or more years working for a government contractor in a program management role,
  • Minimum 3 years of personnel management, with demonstrated team building capability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate well with senior leadership, peers, and staff at all levels to facilitate excellent teamwork
  • Proven experience in pursuing and capturing new federal business, including building and leveraging relationships, developing effective teaming and win strategies, and writing winning proposals
  • Secret clearance with eligibility for TS
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Experience with the Department of State desired, not required
