Job Summary
The primary responsibility for the Operations Manager is to manage staff, processes, procedures and policies in effort to meet company goals and objectives, included but not limited to Safety, Quality, Culture, Compliance and Company Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing the planning, organizing, managing, controlling and evaluating the day to day operations of the facility and area of responsibilities in order to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality to meet the company goals and objectives. Continuous development and an in-depth knowledge of the entire manufacturing process. This position is integral in the delivery of quality products, on time to the customer’s request at the lowest cost. The successful candidate will report to and work with the Managing Director to develop short- and long-term goals for area of responsibility.

Essential Job Functions:
- Support the organization in creating a culture of safety. Implement procedures and metrics focused on improving the facility’s execution of safe working practices.
- Ensure that the standard operating procedures, GMP’s and safety procedures and standards are adhered to daily. Assist in establishing productivity measures for each process area and help develop and review production and cost variance reports to resolve operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimal cost and prevent operational delays. Ensure standards for product quality, equipment and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
- Communicate, daily, with the Managing Director and as needed, with the Maintenance, Sales, Marketing, Quality, HR and Warehouse personnel, and any other internal customers to accurately plan and manage the short-range schedule.
- Responsible for the motivation and morale of managers and employees. Will treat employees with respect and ensure that the Company Vision, Culture and Management Principles are followed. Utilize appropriate KPI’s to drive improved performance and accountability. Scheduling and participating in day-to-day activities in the Production/Packaging areas to ensure daily production goals are met.
- Ensure adherence to the quality management system and foster a culture that wins customers by delivering consistently high-quality products and service and maintains ISO 9001:2015 registration.

Utilizing lean and/or continuous improvement methodologies to identify and facilitate process improvements that lead to sustainable on time delivery performance and lead time reduction.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in large-scale, high volume environments. Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.
- Experience with statistical methods and analysis.
- Extensive experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to analyze problems quickly; development of root cause, corrective and preventative actions.
Other skills and abilities required include:
- Time management and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities for proper territory planning and management.
- Ability to work with high performance teams and a strong team player. Strong customer orientation. Demonstrates good work ethic, maintains high attendance record and shows respect for others.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals.
- Six Sigma Green or Black belt preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; utilizing appropriate e-mail and telephone etiquette. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak, listen and communicate well throughout all levels of the organization.
