Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for the planning and coordination of the company’s inventory and purchasing and distribution departments.

Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory levels

Distribute supplies

Negotiate contracts

Research best pricing

Schedule and place orders

Reduce waste

Oversee and support warehouse staff

Prepare detailed records on procurement, quantity and vendors

Maintain budget

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but Associate’s degree may apply

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory/managerial role within a laboratory or hospital setting

Able to function as a multi-tasker between different areas of the laboratory

Able to use considerable judgment in making decisions

Able to lift up to 50 lbs
