Manager Primary Finishing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise, instruct and coordinate activities of Primary Finishing Department
• Actively promote and lead a safe work environment
• Coordinate with Production Planning Department to ensure smooth transactions of mill orders
• Manage the budget within parameters set by the Plant Manager
• Explore and identify cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate with the Plant Manager to organize shift schedules, production rates, equipment condition, post information and policies
• Coordinate with Quality Control Department to investigate, identify and resolve quality production issues
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to investigate, identify and resolve production equipment issues. Generate maintenance work requests as necessary
• Coordinate with the Procurement Department the ordering and stock levels of consumables and supplies
• Query and analyze shop floor production data on regular and ad-hoc basis
• Manage various capital and special projects

• Bachelor Degree in an industrial or manufacturing related field is preferred OR
• A minimum of ten (10) years tube or pipe mill supervisory experience with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated fundamental working knowledge of plant, industrial and manufacturing concepts.
• Proven decision making, problem resolution, communication and organizational time management skills.
• Possesses good communications skills, verbal and written.
• Computer and data analysis experience required.
• Legally eligible for employment in the United States.
