Position Summary:

Handled is seeking a heavy hitter in the Transportation space. The ideal candidate has built an inside sales team before, has managed the close rate of call centers, and will manage the Virtual Survey Team (a team of about 30) to upsell to clients.

This role requires an individual who knows what a good sales team looks like, has worked previously in a startup environment, and should see the opportunity to manage and build this team as a blank slate that she or he can establish. More importantly, can you answer the question of how do we begin upselling virtual surveys to our consumers in the Transportation industry?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works to modernize inside sales efforts by identifying and implementing best practices.
  • Reviews and evaluates current metrics and identifies future goals/objectives the ensure success within the department and company.
  • Measures performance of Customer Experience staff based on sales goals established.
  • Observes current processes and procedures for Customer Engagement Specialists and Sales Consultants, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements changes.
  • Reviews, updates, and delivers training to ensure staff are highly effective and knowledgeable.
  • Serves as business unit liaison working cross functionally with various departments including Marketing, Sales and IT to improve the customer experience and increase sales.
  • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
  • Full relocation provided for the right person.

Qualifications

Experience:

· At least 5 years experience in an Inside Sales Management capacity.

· Functional Expertise: Successful track record of building out internal sales teams and improving results. Exercises independent judgment and applies in-depth knowledge and expertise to solve complex/technical problems across work groups; accountable for developing and recommending solutions.

· Leadership/Change: Demonstrates leadership by encouraging integrity and ethical behavior; supports business goals, change initiatives, and development through coaching and mentoring.

· Business: Understands how business objectives relate to the business unit, and how own performance objectives align with business unit objectives

· Communications: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and listening skills; possesses the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.

· Language: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

· Technology: Proficient in using multiple software programs and web-based applications such as e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsers, etc.
