POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading project implementations across one or more business units for infrastructure and applications including the following business areas (Human Resources, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, Enterprise Asset Maintenance, and Projects).
In addition, the Sr. Project Manager is accountable for resource planning, schedules, financials, status reporting, issue resolution, risk planning and mitigation strategy and change request following Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean and SDLC Project Management Frameworks to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case via Project Intake Process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS include the following:
- Provide project management duties to assist the current functional team in completing Parker Drillingâs application implementation.
- Apply the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing IT solutions with exposure to Oracle AIM methodology.
- Understand business problems, processes and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Interact with business/user community to determine and gather new functional or technical requirements, and to work with other IT professionals to implement solutions.
- Conduct gap analysis between delivered functionality and client requirements and work with Business Analyst and Technical Lead to recommend solutions.
- Serve as a cross functional and subject matter expert, supporting Business Analysts and develop strong relationships with the business process owners.
- Execute project management tasks, including leading functional team and provide overall support plan with regular project updates to senior management. Manage stakeholder expectations. Ensure quality of deliverables.
- Perform program management, project scoping, resource allocation, project scheduling and management to ensure successful project execution. Monitor and report on project metrics, including cost, effort, and scope.
- Review and ensure the following are completed within project timelines: test plans, test cases, and test scripts, approve functional testing, working with end users and functional staff.
- Possess the functional, technical and analytical abilities sufficient for the support Oracle 11i/R12 applications, including experience with multiple Oracle modules.
- Strong ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while applying senior level experience to business and technology project decision-making.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical, problem-solving skills and an understanding of how to navigate political sensitivity.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and IT Director in order to the support and deliver enterprise-wide business solutions.
- Coordinate and project manage the business and development resources that support the implementation and operation of the Oracle business system.
- Coordinate integration testing, troubleshooting, user acceptance testing, training and review and quality control documentation.
- Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management
- Plan, direct, coordinate with Business Analysts and Technical Lead
- Responsibility for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
- Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business degree or related discipline with an Information Technology focus.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prefer Scrum Master Certification or path to acquire within 6 months
COMPETENCIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 7 years in Oracle EBS 11i/R12 managing deployments, upgrades, mergers and/or acquisitions.
- Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated project management experience with Oracle EBS implementing medium to large enterprise scale complex projects, including project plan development and tracking preferably in Energy, Oil and Gas environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with full understanding of development lifecycle and various Project Management Frameworks such as: Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SDLC
- Proficient with Service Now, MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders
- Proven ability to demonstrate and drive results and accountability of business needs
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment to completion for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
- Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
- Superior leadership, communication and interpersonal skills (tact and diplomacy) to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross – functional environment
- Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
- Outstanding negotiation and change order management skills
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, with the ability to adapt to change and competing client demands
- Work as team lead to mentor co-workers providing input to development plans
- Agile experience is preferred
- Must be capable of working in a team environment.
- Oracle domestic and international implementation experience preferred.
- Oilfield services industry experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will typically work in a climate controlled building in the corporate office of Parker Drilling.
