]Responsibilities:
The Head of Department Infrastructure provides overall leadership for the quality control and order accuracy of the assigned department. The Head of Department Infrastructure coordinates internally with the sales and operational teams to manage cable availability, change orders, and any other client needs by entering information into order inventory software.
- Oversee a team of 3 or more experienced people in the execution of quality control and repair within the cable department
- Check and test all cables to ensure they are in working order
- Maintain a clean and organized department
- Ensure all markings are removed once the equipment is returned to the department
- Ensure all assets meet the VER quality control standard
- Maintain damaged cable inventory establishing a repair plan to return to working order
- Maintain ongoing inventory cycle counts
- Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to work before and after regular business hours with or without notice
- Able to work on weekends with or without notice
- Other duties as assigned by general manager and quality control manager III
- To maintain all equipment in a ready to rent condition
Qualifications:
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite)
- 2 years with applicable A/V or production style cable experience
- General understanding of video and audio signal flow and power distribution
- Basic repair knowledge (cable termination and soldering a plus)
- Able to lift 60 pounds
