Purpose
Directs and coordinates Networks, Corporate and special assignments related to the activities of the CEO Office. Assists the Chief of Staff and the CEO with Board matters and Network and Corporate business initiatives. Interacts with senior management staff of AVANGRID, Iberdrola SA and all of its affiliates.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate special CEO-initiated projects in the Networks business and Corporate areas, such as the FWD 2020 Mid-Period Assessment.
- Analyze the business performance and results of the Networks Business.
- Appropriately follow-up on transmission related growth projects in the business.
- Follow-up of Networks innovation projects.
- Prospective update of the Networks business with emphasis in innovation and digitalization of the industry.
- Define and coordinate specific lines of action for improvements within the Networks business.
- Interact with all levels of AGR Networks Business partners. Acts as an advisor to the CEO and Chief of Staff on all Network related business initiatives.
- Assist AGR Networks Committee on business updates.
- Maintain and report on appropriate regulatory updates for the Networks business.
- Prepare competitors analysis for the Networks business.
- Direct activities and represent Chief of Staff both locally and at a global level when required.
- Establishes credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Conducts formal presentations related to business matters to senior leaders on behalf of the office of the CEO when required.
Skills and Requirements
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and experience within the utility business.
- Excellent decision making, project management, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and influencing skills.
- Project management experience.
- Credible communicator and presenter at a senior level.
- Bilingual capability preferred; fluency in Spanish and English in both written and verbal communication desired.
Experience/Training:
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience, with minimum 6 years industry experience.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong business acumen.
Required Education:
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering (preferred) or related field; Advanced degree / Master in Business Administration preferred.
