Director 1, Division Controller

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director 1, Division Controller to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in McLean, Virginia.

The selected applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Logistics & Modernization (L&M) division, and will report to the L&M Division Director of Business Management. L&M is a geographically dispersed organization with operating units across the world. The successful candidate will promote the professional development of the business management workforce, work in a dynamic organization, and foster a collaborative culture in a diverse business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversight of financial controls

• Reviews monthly EAC’s for adequacy and compliance

• Revenue recognition review and guidance

• Indirect rate analysis and management

• Evaluates and manages Non-Contractual Technical Activity spending

• International financial systems management

• Analyzes financial statements and cash flow

• Conducts monthly forecasting and closing activities

• Coordinates Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and AOP process

• Prepares executive financial briefings

• Provides guidance to Business Unit (BU) and Organizational Unit (OU) on accounting policies

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or business management

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or business management

• Candidate must possess strong leadership and communication skills with a minimum of 4 years of experience leading diverse teams

• Advanced skills in financial modeling, MS office Suite, and SAP

• Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

• Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)

• Must be able to work on-site in McLean, Virginia

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in financial planning, financial accounting, government accounting, program finance, and international

• Experience in presenting financial data to executive leadership

• Demonstrated success in developing and leading functional and cross-functional teams

• An active DoD Secret security clearance
