General description of the position: Responsible for the programmatic and operational execution of the organization.Oversees Club operations and programs with primary concern for high quality program development and implementation, supervision of assigned staff, facilities, HR management, budget management, and program outcomes reports.
- Develop and oversee programmatic offerings that prepare youth for success and create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
- Assure that all Club operations comply with safety policies and that each member is provided with a physical and emotional safe club experience.
- Train operational staff in: implementation of multiple programs, safety, strategic plan, child care license, youth development and operations.
- Manage effectively all grant requirements that fund operations, responsible for the programmatic compliance with funders including submitting necessary reports on time and accurately.
- Administer the licensing process for the facilities and assure that they are in excellent condition to serve Club members, as well as in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Manage the Human Resources responsibilities for the organization.
- Develop and implement internal processes for the organization.
- Develops and manages programmatic budgets for existing and new programming.
- Establish partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, school and agencies based on the strategic plan goals.
- Effectively administer the budget for the operations.
- Assure that daily operations comply with the requirements for a licensed Child Care Afterschool facility.
- Promote the analysis of data regarding youth participation, youth outcomes and community outcomes. Oversee the submission of attendance and program participation reports by each Unit Director, ensure that reports are submitted on a timely basis and that all deadlines are met by reporting staff.
- Plan, organize, direct and effectively manage the operations of the organization.
- Serve as a liaison for the Program Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Supervise effectively assigned personnel including recruitment and training, as well as planning, assignment and direction over routine and special projects.
- Conduct performance evaluation for assigned staff, as well as recognition and disciplinary action, problem solution and management of complaints.
- Collaborate with the CEO to design, develop, implement and sustain new programming as defined by the Clubâs vision for social impact, funding sustainability, and community growth, within Atlantic City and throughout the region.
Requirements:
Physical Demands: Standing or sitting on regular basis, while talking and listening. Ability to use computer equipment, fax, copy machine, calculator, etc. Required to drive a motor vehicle.
Mental Demands: Ability to analyze problems, strategic planning as well as lead and participate in project management. Ability to manage problems with concrete variables, as well as collect, analyze and report on data with accurate conclusions. Ability to read reports and apply concepts.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal language exhibited through clear communication, both internally and externally.
working conditions: Working in a Boys & Girls Club environment, with multiple facilities; engaging transportation between different places when necessary.
Education and/or Experience: MA in Business Administration, Education, Social Services or Recreation from and accredited college and 3 years of equivalent experience.
