Job Purpose (Job Summary):
We’re seeking an Advanced Business Analyst to join a fast-paced agile development team building-out enterprise grade data platforms that support Client Experience, Regulatory, and investment teams. You’ll be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving agile best practices, crafting user stories working with business and technical stakeholders. You’ll be working alongside our data science and machine learning teams leveraging the Invesco enterprise data lake architecture. Candidates will be expected to perform business, technical, and data analysis across data-sets as well as providing day-to-day leadership in a scrum master capacity.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Perform the role of Scrum Master for one or more teams Leading multiple, simultaneous initiatives or small programs / release trains including guiding and coaching teams to be self-organizing
- Fostering an environment of collaboration, and reflecting agile values to the team as a servant leader
- Lead the development of business, functional, and technical requirements working with both business and technology stakeholders in preparation of user stories, functional specifications, test plans, and other documentation
- Document test plans and perform testing of team code
- Perform explanatory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data to identify patterns
- Design rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to customers or company leaders
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 3+ years of experience focused in data and business analysis focused on data engineering or digital transformation
- 2+ years of experience as a scrum master and/or as a technical product owner
- 2+ years of experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- 2+ years of financial services experience across Investments, Distributions, Middle/back-office functions
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, R, and Java / MapReduce a plus
- Exposure to NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, DynamoDB a plus

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree of Statistics, Computer Science or other similar advanced degrees from a top tier educational institution preferred
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
- Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
- Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager. Estimate: 10-15%
