The VP, Sales is focused on solution sales and partnering with health plans and exchanges in the US. The ideal candidate for this role is forward-looking, sharing market analysis and industry trends, and helping shape how clients get the most value from their CDH program.

]Day in the life::

  • Strategic selling and partnerships against a quota; meeting and calling on prospective health plan clients to set appointments and gain market share awareness
  • Provides technical information and explanations to prospects about CYC’s services
  • Provides value added innovation, tools, workflow and integration to prospects about CYC’s unique proprietary platform
  • Partners and integrates with other health plan solution partners including wellness, education, analytics and participant tools
  • Additional partnership skills to arrange and create channel partners for CYC to sell through its services
  • Has deep contacts and relationships with major carriers, Blue’s carriers, regional carriers and extensive exchange network
  • Evaluates potential revenue growth of new clients via opportunities for up-sells and increased adoption
  • Has good understanding of CYC’s competitors and can fluidly deliver the CYC value proposition

Positions self as industry expert, leader, speaker and blogger

  • Knowledge of health plan go to market strategies including sales to employers, brokers and consultants
  • Knowledge of health plan market segmentation (large employers, SMB)
  • Domain expertise of health plan/exchange infrastructure, workflow and processing including how spending accounts are designed, packaged with medical insurance and offered to their respective employers, brokers and consultants
  • Has strong business acumen, influencing skills and negotiation capabilities to drive no bid contracts, responses to RFP’s and to formulate winning business cases
  • Has the maturity, skill, experience and presence to work with CYC ELT members and to partner with health plan executives
  • Updates information in SalesForce.com
  • Upload contract information including renewal dates into SalesForce.com

What you need to be successful::

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years of sales, account management and/or business development experience within broker or health plan industry
  • Familiarity with CDH programs (HSA/HRA/FSA); Wellness programs; COBRA; Investments
  • Relationships with brokers and general managing agents in key markets preferred
  • Documented history of sales and/or account management success over the phone and face to face
  • Familiarity with healthcare reform, government regulations, compliance and Exchanges
  • Strong analytical thinking, with an attention to detail and high quality standards
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
