Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)
The Vice President of Hospitality Marketing will build, manage, and analyze strategies and efforts, improving on visitation and revenues from non-gaming areas including quick service, casual and formal dining; beverage, entertainment, hotel and group sales.

You will serve as the marketing creator for non-gaming initiatives and will be the leader responsible for their success.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and ensures implementation of programs to successfully achieve specific plan objectives.
  • Leads the progression of hospitality marketing plans and adjusts these plans to ensure the successful achievement of non-gaming optimization of revenue.
  • Provides oversight and direction to ensure the successful execution of marketing strategies and programs.
  • Manage Human Resources in the division in order to attract, retain and motivate the team members; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, discipline and terminate, as appropriate.
  • Develops, creates, and measures impact of marketing to include: creative asset development, marketing activation and guidelines, messaging, advertising, photography, public relations, marketing events, website development, promotions, and marketing innovation.
  • Implement company programs and manage the operations of the division in a manner consistent with policies and procedures; prepare, analyze and review forecasts, statements and reports to determine if the plans and programs are producing the optimal amount of revenue.
  • Survey, review and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs and comments in order to develop new plans and programs and determine the potency of current plans and programs.
  • Plan digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and digital advertising for all areas of hospitality (non-gaming) – hotel, events, banquets, food & beverage, and event center.
  • Develop key business priorities and initiatives for the hospitality (non-gaming) division, and leads integrated marketing efforts to hit targets.
  • Works closely with analytics team to track and optimize marketing and media results to hit company goals.
  • Promote high visibility of hotel and event center.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Participate in task force and committees as required

Qualifications:


Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
  • Requires knowledge of digital and social media marketing.
  • Requires knowledge of SEO and SEM.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the marketing/hospitality profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people, complex problems and efficient methods of marketing.
  • Make decisions within the standards of the position which can impact more than one department, but usually not more than one hotel. Only general policies and procedures are available for guidance and superior is kept informed only of general direction of assignment.
  • Requires studying, analyzing and interpreting complex activities or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches.

Educational Requirements
  • Education: Four year college degree or equivalent education/experience. Three (3) years’ experience of progressive leadership experience in a related field.
  • Experience: Experience with the development and implementation of a marketing plan. Knowledge of profit generation and forecasting a plus. Hospitality experience. Experience with banquets and catering, preferred.
  • Gaming License: Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license

Physical Requirements
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
