SUMMARY
As ANSYS’s Manager of Threat Detection, you will be responsible for developing the company’s tactics, techniques and procedures for identifying potential cyber security incidents and maintaining the situational awareness of our Cybersecurity department. You will directly engage with peer teams to ensure clear network visibility and position the organization to rapidly interdict attacks against our environment. In addition, you will develop the company’s detection models to efficiently analyze large volumes of security related data and evaluate new technologies to quickly alert us to malicious activity.
- Anticipate threat actor activity and implement effective countermeasures
- Coordinate monitoring for cybersecurity related incidents
- Develop detection use cases, tune signatures and refine analytical models in order to spot malicious activity
- Identify new data sources and integrate them into detection workflows
- Train and mentor the Threat Detection team
- Minimum of five years of direct experience in a cybersecurity field
- Expert knowledge of network monitoring and intrusion detection technologies and methodologies
- Experience working in and leading a Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Deep understanding of threat actors and their tradecraft
- Ability to clearly communicate in an organized, concise manner
- One or more of the following certifications preferred (GCIA, GMON, GCIH,)
