We provide solutions to our customers at the Federal Government and the Department of Defense. We are seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager (Technical) to join our team. The position is located in Lanham, MD.
Position description:
Assist the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by providing the following services:
- Manage the schedule and performance of an IRS project
- Leads and directs project teams engaged in IRS application operations and maintenance
- Provide a KISAM ticket status report at the end of each workday when there are open tickets
- Verify coding performed by Contractor developers are reviewed, tested, and defect-free prior to delivery to the customer
- Keep open KISAM tickets to a minimal amount (below 10) at any given time
- Update program documentation and save to a specified location
- Update and distribute reports after reviewing and ensuring accuracy, clarity, and that it is defect free
- Create, update, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes
- Create and maintain a detailed inventory spreadsheet of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
- Update Developer’s Guide as application changes are made
- Analyze legacy applications to determine efficiency improvements
- Ensure deliverables meet due dates and the project stays on schedule
- Establish and maintain communications with the Contracting Officer’s Representative and the CSS Project Management Office, to establish goals and objectives
- Other duties as assigned by the Trinity Program Director
Position Requirements:
- Experience managing software development teams and achieving goals and objectives
- Background in delivering documentation and understanding version control and revisions
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, business processes, and work flow
- Must have working knowledge of MS Project with demonstrated ability to track project requirements)
- Ability to produce high quality Briefings, Status Reports, Schedules, Plans, GFE spreadsheets and any requested reports or meeting minutes by established deadlines
- In-processing of contract team members
- Must be able to create a Work Breakdown Structure using MS Project
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (in technical, management or related field) or equivalent
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
