Job Summary
We are a local electrical contractor in need of a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for managing all client projects as well as the coordination and completion of client requests within the specified budget and scope. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the progress of the project. Preparing accurate and timely reports for clients, customers, and the rest of the team is essential to success in this role.
A successful candidate works clearly and directly with clients to ensure all deliverables and services are completed accurately and timely. Communication and organization skills are required to achieve all expected goals and outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate internal resources with third parties/ vendors in order to complete the projects
- Develop comprehensive project plans
- Meet budget objectives
- Track project performance
- Delegate project tasks based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience level of team members
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Manage the relationship with the clients and communicate directly and effectively
- Report all updates as required
- Measure project performance
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure all projects and services are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to multitask
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience with budgeting and scheduling
- Dependable, punctual and self-directing/managing
