The Head of Digital & Consumer Marketing will drive development and execution of the US Business Unit strategies by maximizing immunization rates and optimizing brand performance within key customer and patient segments. The position defines our strategy for Consumer Marketing, Digital Marketing and our industry leading eCommerce platform to drive the desired behavior of our target market. This position identifies synergies across the portfolio and technologies in order to execute a cohesive strategy across these platforms. The position actively liases with and aligns key stakeholders which includes but is not limited to functions within Commercial Operations, VaxServe, Regulatory, ITS and other Sanofi businesses. In addition to strategic direction, this position also leads the maximization of our Digital, eCommerce and Consumer programs by identifying industry trends in advance and optimizing the campaigns through well defined Market Research and Analytics. This position will work closely with the Head of Customer Marketing to develop and implement strategies, forecasts and financial plans. This position manages a significant operational budget and has considerable exposure to the senior management team.


SEGMENT / CHANNEL PERFORMANCE

Objective: Maximize the organization’s objectives for increasing immunization coverage and brand differentiation, and deliver on our financial goals.

  • Achieve forecasts and key milestones as planned.
  • Develop stretch but achievable strategies in concert with Marketing and Senior Management.
  • Drive a well-thought out, analytical approach to identify business opportunities, and targeted segmentation to drive desired customer/patient behavior
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop KPIs to inform the performance of our strategies & tactics and well-justified adjustments
  • Maximize information systems to ensure infrastructure and foundational support critical for the execution of our tactics and KPI gathering.


Consumer Marketing

Objective: Develop and execute comprehensive consumer and digital marketing strategies, effectively optimizing various media.

  • Develop Direct to Consumer campaigns that maximize vaccine coverage rates and Sanofi Pasteur brand positioning.
  • Develop innovative new approaches to market segmentation and targeting (Creative, media placement, etc.)
  • Expand knowledge necessary for promotion within media channels to appropriately manage and challenge agencies and vendors
  • Drive campaign design, implementation and assessment with advanced analytics and market research methodologies

Effectively manage significant budget investment. Actively manage the performance of vendors/agencies and provide timely feedback & reviews to enhance their performance and deliverables.


eCommerce (VaccineShoppe)

Objective: Maximize the performance of an industry leading vaccine ordering and promotion channel

  • Ensure the eCommerce platform continues to be industry leading for customer satisfaction through design and architectural advances
  • Define and drive toward its growth by identifying existing customer behaviors and ways to adapt or change practices, utilizing customer level data and analytics. This includes understanding best practices in cross-selling and upselling customers, within and outside the industry

Build strong partnership and communication with key stakeholders to ensure their support and input (ITS, Regulatory, Customer Experience, etc.). Work closely with Customer Services and VaxServe to operationalize strategies and drive a synergistic approach


Digital and Omni-Channel

Objective: Drive the Digital Strategy and precision marketing efforts for Sanofi Pasteur to deliver the right message to the right target audience at the right time

  • Oversee the strategic development and execution of and omni-channel initiatives, including all digital assets (websites, applications, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Drive integration with Brand strategy to ensure Digital strategies and precision marketing are at the core
  • Build strong partnership and communication with key stakeholders to ensure their support and input (ITS, MCE, Regulatory, etc.), while ensuring the integrity and compliance of our digital assets.
  • Coordinate with other areas within Sanofi Pasteur to ensure consistent execution of our digital strategy (e.g. with VaxServe, Advocacy and Communications)
  • Support the establishment of a core knowledge base for the extended Marketing team, including Customer and Brand Marketers


LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

Objective: Demonstrate ownership of business objectives, gain consensus from peers, stakeholders and leadership, and provide coaching and development to team members.

  • Demonstrate ownership of business plans, identify changes and bring effective solutions to Senior Management.
  • Lead the Strategic Planning process for the areas of responsibility, ensuring robust assessment of the business environment & needs and subject matter expertise
  • Own and execute personal development plan and coach / develop team members
  • Define new major project(s) to significantly move forward organizational capabilities, and lead them if appropriate
  • Support and represent the team needs in related processes to drive appropriate prioritization and resource allocation, e.g. ITS project prioritization
  • Model company values.


Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree; MBA strongly preferred

A minimum of 10 years of Marketing experience in Vaccines and/or Digital and Consumer Marketing. Experience leading a team of marketers in brand marketing and/or Digital and Consumer Marketing. Demonstrated capability influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior management on strategic topics, difficult OPEX decisions and new ways of working

The successful candidate will be required to sign and execute a restricted covenant upon hire.
