]Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Chief Risk Officer of SMBC-LF and will provide guidance and direction to marketing and origination staff to assure policies, procedures and processes are being met.
Daily activities will include discussion of day-to-day transactional issues as well as oversight and guidance in preparation of all credit applications, which may include hands on application preparation, monitoring, adverse developments which may impact customers or the portfolio, covenant compliance, preparation of KYC periodic reviews, participation in monthly business meetings bringing together NY, London and Frankfurt, liaise with various SMBC-related departments to assure linkage of processes, and spearhead various audit and regulatory requests.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand complex transaction structures in order to provide guidance and direction to properly mitigate inherent risks, strong documentation skills, effective communication, critical time management requirements. Minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in the equipment finance sector that is comparable or relevant to the job description.
