We are Indian Head Firewood. We are looking for the right person to take the reins of the business and take it to the next level, carrying out the vision of the founder/owners. We are a luxury firewood and accessory company catering to the highest end outdoor consumers in the Houston area, with plans to grow to every major metropolitan area in the US. We have been in business for 10 years, but only as a side/hobby business. We are ready to take this full time and grow into an outdoor lifestyle brand focused on the fire lifestyle (see vision at the end of this document).

We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:
– Outdoor enthusiast (Experience hunting, fishing, camping, Experience building fires, Can talk the talk)
– Experience in sales and/or marketing
– College Degree (transcript required)
– Excellent communication skills o Written and verbal
– Self starter with drive and ambition
– Quick learner and willing to take direction

We are a lean company currently running with one employee and two owners with other full-time jobs.

The role of Vice President at Indian Head Firewood would replace the existing employee (who would become a delivery manager) and will entail the following:

– Daily oversight of all company operations
– Sales processing
– Generating new business and leads (corporate and consumer)
– Developing new retail products
– Managing inventory of retail products and firewood stock
– Communication with customers (including answering phones)
– Organizing delivery routes for firewood
– Constantly optimizing operations and seeking improvements
– Reporting to owners on a weekly basis with all activities and achievements
– Updating website
– Managing social media, Yelp, Google, Facebook, and other online presence
– Working with book keeper regularly to keep books (Organization of files and financials will be critical to the job)

Compensation:

– Base: $45,000 salary
– Bonus: Up to 20% of salary tied to net income, paid at end of calendar year.
– Ownership Opportunity: Up to 10% ownership in the business is available to the right candidate, which would be available to vest over 5 years at 2% per year. (i.e. after one full year of employment, you would earn 2% interest in the business ownership).

Vision: We have the vision to grow this business into the first quality firewood brand in the country, delivering on quality of product and outstanding customer service. After succeeding in Houston, and developing strong profits based on firewood sales and other accessories, we will expand to other markets, allowing us to become a national brand – the first of its kind in our industry.
