Ocean State Urgent Care is now hiring a Site Manager for our Smithfield, RI location. this position may also be responsible for the Cumberland, RI location.
SUMMARY
The Site manager performs a variety of medical office supervisory duties as well as administrative tasks related to site specific operations which require knowledge of departmental policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Complete knowledge of registration process and front office
- Maintains appropriate logs and spreadsheets
- Provides assistance in the day-to-day administration of the site
- Manages Medical Secretaries, Medical Assistants, and other clinical support staff at assigned site
- Responsible to ensure adequate clinical support staffing; assist urgent care operations Director with provider staffing
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility verification process
- Ability to assess emergent situations
- Cover daily sick calls for specific site
- Included in weekend on call rotation (every 4-6 weeks) to cover weekend sick calls for specific site and work with maintaining standards with staff
- Cost effective management and oversight
- Prepare monthly budgetary explanations
- Ensure compliance of follow up calls to patients and documentation of calls appropriately through the EMR, Autoclave, Biohazard, patient communication (labs, x-ray).
- Collaborates with other managers regarding any issues or concerns
- For clinical decision making refer to Chief Medical Officer
- Ordering of all office/medical supplies (WB Mason, Henry Schein, etc.)
- Maintains par levels for supplies and medications in a cost-effective manner
- Collaborates with Director of Operations and Human Resources to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as it pertains to employee related matters (hiring, performance management, etc)
- Practices most current safety and health code standards all while maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
- Facilitates education and training of staff Other duties may be assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
- Associates degree in business management or related
- 5+ yearsâ experience in a supervisory role in a clinical healthcare setting, preferably urgent care
- Experience with managing a budget
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of computers and electronic medical records
