What Will I Be Doing?
Supervise Recreation staff, including Gate and Towel Hut Attendants and Supervisors. Work with departmental Supervisors to manage schedules and time off requests. To ensure the best guest experience and quality of service, you will oversee the execution of training plans for the Gate and Towel Hut Attendants, so they comply with Forbes standards. Assist all guests at pool facilities with towels, upon check-in, and requests courteously and efficiently according to standards. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure guest safety and enjoyment (including setting up in morning and break down in evening). Abide by all cleanliness standards in all outlets of the Clubs and report and repairs to the Engineering department immediately. Assist other departments when needed. As the manager, you will oversee payroll, as well as, manage labor and expenses within the budgeted allowances. You will report to the WaterColor Clubs Manager.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
To be successful in this position, you will benefit from a Hospitality background or similar guest focused field. Have experience monitoring staff members and their performance on a daily basis. Conduct monthly meetings with staff, as well as, pre-shift meetings to go over goals and set performance expectations and review any training opportunities. Maintain and develop relationship with HOA members for updating information on operations, inventory levels and timely ordering of operating supplies. Pertaining to guests, you should be someone who can accurately maintain knowledge of VIP’s in-house, special groups, guests reservations, activities available and operating hours of the Clubs to offer best guest experience regardless of volume levels and time of day. You will need to obtain a First Aid/CPR Certification.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
You must be able to walk, kneel, and crouch to grab a vast amount of towels at the beginning and end of every shift. As a Gate Attendant you will work under an umbrella or overhang however is always exposed to the weather especially the heat. You must be able to lift 25-50 pounds on occasion.
