The Technical Project Manager is located in Littleton Colorado, our HQ office. Candidate will coordinate daily activities with client personnel and interface daily with client Vendors, General Contractors and Sub-Contractors. A program manager’s responsibilities include training, performance monitoring, planning, analyzing, and more general administrative duties to ensure that employees are working effectively and efficiently. If you enjoy working on a high volume of projects while mentoring and training staff and you have the skills required to complete complex telecommunication construction projects, this opportunity may be for you. Telecommunications experience is required. A program manager manages multiple projects, and sometimes multiple programs while a project manager manages the teams responsible for fulfilling the project and achieving its deliverables.

Responsibilities for Technical Project Manager- PMO
- Guides projects to successful completion while producing satisfied customers, maintaining profit margin and facilitating team growth across all disciplines at Vertex Innovations.
- Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel related to projects.
- Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
- Coordinate and schedule needed resources across multiple projects to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.
- Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to mitigate impacts to project schedules and overall business objectives.
- Analyze, plan and develop requirements, specifications and standards in reference to scheduled projects.
- Oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all project team members are actively working toward established milestones.
- Must possess the ability to assess & evaluate new client requirements against the scope of the project, determining if a change request is needed as appropriate.
- Works with internal teams to document and execute these new requirements following Change Request processes.
- Maintains documentation as appropriate for each project, utilizing PMO tools as they are available (Project Plan, Issue Trackers, Agendas/Minutes).
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
- Collaborate with the PMO manager, and other PMO team members to enhance and evolve project management processes and standards through agile processes.
- Work with sales teams as an SME for technical project requirements to develop accurate scopes of work.
- Collaborate with and be a resource as a SME for Cell Site Modifications (antenna, power, fiber, generator, structural upgrades and building/shelter augmentations) and Construction Projects
- Working knowledge of cell site transport facilities ordering and scheduling
- Understand Transport contracts (Lit Contracts, Dark Fiber Contracts)
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualifications for Technical Project Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related technical field required
- Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred
- At least five (5) years of related experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods including agile and waterfall.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
- Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
- Preferred experience in Cell Site Maintenance Projects/telecommunication construction projects
- Experience performing site walks with Landlord, Client, A&E and GC
- Experience documenting site modifications, fiber box locations, and conduit paths
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic understanding of Network Designs, and The Granite Database
- Ability to create document processes (SOP)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This full-time position is exempt. Days and hours of work may fluctuate based on needs of the client and the project. Minimum work requirement is 40 hours each week.

Flexibility to travel on an as needed basis as required by projects
