The primary purpose of this position is to maintain, review and post students? academic information in electronic files in Banner (Appalachian?s student information system). Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: * Process undergraduate major declarations. * Respond to student, faculty, staff, and general public questions relative to academic records, policy and procedure under FERPA guidelines. * Provide administrative support for Academic Advising and Orientation as needed including but not limited to updating intended major changes, responding to student email inquiries, adding student records notes to DegreeWorks, coordinating logistics for orientation, and payroll management. * Other administrative duties will include room reservations, campus work orders, external vendor contracts, and purchasing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
