The Corporate Planning group provides forecasting and decision support for business partners across the Finance organization, including the CFO. Within Corporate Planning, the Revenue Forecasting team is responsible for forecasting revenues across the entire company. Since Schwab’s revenue model is highly complex and dependent on several dynamic macroeconomic factors, the Revenue Forecasting team plays a crucial role in helping senior leadership understand our future financial picture in order to make key decisions.

This position plays a significant role in providing senior management with a consolidated short-term and long-term net income forecast on a regular basis, handling forecasting models, preparing and communicating forecast results, and performing ad hoc analysis. What you’re good at

  • Synthesize and communicate consolidated financial picture and outlook for CFO’s monthly Close meeting and Board of Director’s presentations
  • Work with business partners and team members to lead the development of revenue and net income forecasts and financial plans
  • Handle the monthly forecasting process, working with teams across the company
  • Initiate and deliver ad hoc analyses of key revenue trends, drivers and metrics to drive decisions
  • Support various aspects of Capital Planning and Stress Testing
  • Lead three direct reports

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 6+ years of related financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Understanding of corporate finance theory, financial markets and financial statement analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills, with an understanding of financial modeling standard methodologies
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles and concepts
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Sound business judgement and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proactive self-starter and great teammate who can work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Shown superior analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as a team to deliver results
  • Knowledge of IBM Cognos TM1 or similar database/OLAP tool is a plus
