THE ROLE

REGIONAL MANAGER – WESTERN U.S.

The VOID is seeking a talented Regional Manager to build and lead customer-facing teams for our West Region (California and Nevada). The successful candidate will join our team and have primary responsibility for achieving financial targets within their region, developing General Managers and their teams, and cultivating fans among a growing audience. The ideal candidate has experience running retail stores, hotels, location-based entertainment, or other dynamic, team-based operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide strategic leadership, planning, and execution of solutions for current and future business needs for the region; works closely with the Sr. Director of Live Operations & Revenue
  • Serve as a visible presence and continuous influence of operational excellence across the region and company. Interacts up and down, as well as across the company to create a consistent case for continuous improvement.
  • Remain effective in a changing environment and manages change. Adjusts team priorities to meet goals and commitments, ensures continued alignment across the region, and responds effectively to constantly changing demands.
  • Responsible for revenue and profit and loss for their region and partners with General Managers (GMs) and Assistant General Managers (AGMs) to drive revenue via several channels including:
    • Increasing conversion of walk-up sales
    • Group sales and events – facilitating package creation, proactive outreach to local business and groups, prepping the site for hosting, etc.
    • Creation of marketing plans; partnering with VOID corporate
    • Drive referral business through cross branding and building relationships with local businesses
  • Effectively communicate business and financial objectives to GMs and AGMs; Provides feedback to GMs and AGMs and communicates location results to Sr. Director of Live Operations and Revenue.
  • Audit and analyze the performance of locations in their assigned region
  • Utilize data, trend analysis, statistical reports, and benchmarking to conduct root cause analysis of current state and identification of metric-driven solutions.
  • Ensure the safety/security of company assets, customers, and staff through regular store visits and training of store standards with company and safety standards.
  • Ensure each location’s technical team is working above set standards and has the appropriate support needed.
  • Identifies, researches, and helps implement new processes to improve customer experience, customer throughput, and customer delight.
  • Oversee staffing and recruitment of GMs and AGMs
  • Partners with internal/external recruiters
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and overall direction of accountabilities for General Managers and Assistant General Managers in order to meet company goals.
  • Ensure there is a positive workplace culture throughout the region that inspires team members to always perform at their best.
  • Facilitate requests to host VIPs, ensuring VOID Terminal and Guides are prepared to create memorable experiences.

EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 – 10 years of professional experience in an operations/sales environment, preferably in retail, hospitality, location-based entertainment, or other industry
  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience as a Regional Manager
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build high performing teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted, bend, twist, and kneel.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require
