Expected Contributions


RESPONSIBILE FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THE ASSIGNED PROJECTS OVER THE ENTIRE PROJECT LIFE (INITIATE, PLAN, EXECUTE, CONTROL, CLOSE)


Key/Representative Activities:

  • Plans and manages business and enterprise projects as assigned using Members 1st project management processes and tools
  • Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project
  • Manages projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Manages changes to the project scope, and project schedule, using the appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance
  • Communicates project plan and ensures a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members
  • Executes project plan and executes the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals
  • Monitors and controls project work by measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
  • Establishes project deliverables, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter
  • Develops project team and improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale
  • Implements approved actions and implements the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
  • Closes projects by ensuring a thorough post implementation process is established to ensure the results and outcomes of implemented solutions and functionality satisfy all requirements and expectations of end users
  • Assists with departmental process improvements as assigned

Essential Qualifications & Competencies


Minimum Education Requirements:

  • General and business knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Technology or Associate degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related discipline preferred
  • 5-6 years professional project management experience


Competencies:

  • Candidate must demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge in practices of project management
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of interoperability of financial industry business systems and processes
  • Effectively skilled in negotiation, influence and conflict resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of common business software such as Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to lead a cross-departmental project team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills


Education

Preferred

  • Bachelors or better in Information Technology
  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration
