Job Description:
- To ensure that the operation of the hotel is maintained on a daily basis and that the needs of the owners, employees, and customers are met and/or exceeded.
- Lead hotel to meet and/or exceed financial obligations and profitability through overseeing and actively participating in sales, labor productivity, cost control, and effective purchasing.
- Participate in the sales efforts by knowing key accounts, meeting with potential and current clients, and actively selling with the Sales Lead Tracking System.
- Implement, monitor, adhere to, and enforce compliance with all hotel and company policies, procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal laws as well as all franchise mandated policies, procedures, and standards, as applicable.
- Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis monitoring property condition, cleanliness, and quality of product and service throughout the hotel. Greet and maintain rapport with employees and customers.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal customers to include relaying pertinent information to subordinates, communicating expectations and appreciation/share “big picture”, and communicating departmental and hotel goals and objectives.
- Oversee and approve scheduling within budgetary guidelines and in accordance with operational needs.
- Promote cooperation and teamwork while supporting company philosophy and policies
Job Requirements:
- Requires knowledge of basic accounting procedures and hotel front desk operating procedures (preferred one to two years of hotel experience as front desk manager)
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including sales & marketing, security and safety programs, human resources and labor relations, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hotel law, and the development of long-range planning.
