We are seeking a forward-thinking, enthusiastic, and experienced Director of Sales and Enablement to lead our organization in creating high-impact sales teams and enablement solutions.

You will have the opportunity to drive significant value for our Solar Sales organization, thereby impacting the success of our company at large. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing Sales team as well as lead in the creation, development, delivery, and evolution of enablement programs.

You will provide leadership, direction, and execution of the sales enablement strategic vision that will ensure productivity improvements to the frontline sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the strategy for enablement programs including quality effectiveness programs and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and metrics evaluating success – ensuring that OKRs are clearly defined, tracked and reported
  • Measure and evaluate the return on investment of our sales enablement programs ensuring that everything we do is tied directly to competency improvement and has a direct impact on key business metrics.
  • Drive continuous innovation and thought leadership in enablement programs and tools to enhance overall excellence across the sales field teams
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training strategies, programs, and curriculum for the sales organization that increases salesforce productivity and performance
  • Map sales process with our customer’s buying process to understand and enhance the skills, knowledge, process and tools required by our sales team to increase velocity and conversation rates at each stage in those processes.
  • Conduct an inventory of current skills, processes and knowledge working with the sales leadership team to identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Develop and manage a rolling 12-month sales enablement roadmap.
  • Create a sales competency model. Assess sales executives in terms of their development needs.
  • Implement and manage new-hire onboarding programs to minimize time to full productivity, and develop ongoing programs to ensure sales managers remain aligned with key messages and processes.
  • Lead all Training initiatives (including theme development, agenda creation, timelines and project and program management—down to specific details, content recommendations and reviews and SME speaker prep, during and post training success metrics and monitoring) for programs such as new hire bootcamps, weekly virtual team programs, remediation initiatives to skill-up weak areas, etc.
  • Develop, deploy and manage the organization’s sales certification program and tracking system.
  • Lead Field and Inside Solar sales teams across all regions
  • Plan and execute sales activities; which support the established sales objectives and develop new opportunities for additional growth within the budget.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop personnel and achieve company sales targets.
  • Assist in the preparation of goals and budgets; continuously monitor sales reports and operational records to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met and provide quarter-by-quarter sales forecasts.
  • Interface with customers and evaluate market needs, make product and service recommendations, educate and counsel customers on company operating policies and procedures, and stimulate interest in new products and programs.
