DD Health Services is looking for a person with experience working with persons with developmental disabilities to join our team to run our Developmental Training Day Program. We provide support and supervision to individuals in helping them reach their personal, social, recreational and vocational goals.

Job Duties

  • Design and implement facility and community-based activities that promote consumer choice, develop consumers’ functional skills, enrich their lives through community integration, and self-advocacy, and further their independence through the development of employment and self-care skills.
  • To provide consistent coordination of services and supports for assigned individuals, both coordination and monitoring of staff schedules and staff’s delivery of assigned work duties, as well as training of assigned employees, evaluation of assigned employees work performances, implementation of both program service and individual support plans.
  • Determines and/or interprets work procedures in order to promote efficiency, assure individual’s programmatic and personal needs are met and to coordinate flow of work.
  • Communicate with caseworkers and other team member in order to assure accurate and updated interchange of information, interventions methods and recording of data.
  • Train new day program team members or conduct in-service for current day program staff using necessary materials in accordance with facility policies and procedures in order to assure implementation of appropriate techniques for service intervention, compliance with planned program and other facility needs.
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all DSP staff
  • Perform staff evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive program facility
  • Preserve the health, safety, and well-being of the residences.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families, care providers and facility employees.
  • Conduct staff meeting.
  • Manage Program Services in a cost-effective manner.
  • Complete all agency documentation including but not limited to billing, training, case notes review, and verification of hours worked.
  • Meet weekly with ICF IDT to problem solve and review program goals
  • Promote program utilization through active participation, leadership and public relations.


Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree specializing in education, special education, psychology, rehabilitation counseling or social work required.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, internet and other programs)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Be a strong individual advocate.
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Current DMV license and good driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
