Vertex Innovations, Inc. is a Colorado company founded in 2003 by Wayne and Erica Smith. We could see where the future of communications was heading and wanted to take our passion and skill to build the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure. Essential Functions:
- Ensure all DFTTC (Dark Fiber to the Cell) consultants are working productively and consistent with the clients DFTTC SOW.
- Manage Remote Teams including Project Managers, Construction Managers and Project Support Specialists.
- Will be responsible for DFTTC (Dark Fiber to the Cell) Projects in 6 States meeting required client Milestones.
- Be primary customer interface for Project Milestone Reporting.
- Ensure work is performed to the level of quality required to completely satisfy each client.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements
- Handling all project coordination, conference calls, spreadsheets, driving vendor/client project reports, scheduling, and presentation slides/reporting.
- Monitoring schedules and alerting on conditions which may lead to delays in the completion of work or delays to when the construction schedule falls behind.
- Communicating progress and problems associated with project.
- Providing documentation and written record as to the progress, problems, solutions, change orders, and other items which reflect the progress or lack of.
- Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Will be responsible for making sure that the Project Database (SaaS) is up to date and data integrity is checked on a weekly basis.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills required.
- Any other management duties assigned by the management team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts Required
- Must have experience in the Wireless Industry. Cell Site Construction, Fiber or Ethernet Backhaul, Data Center or MSC Construction.
- 3-5 years Documented work experience managing employees and experience leading remote teams.
- High-integrity leader who can gain respect from consultants and account managers
- Must be willing to travel to client and consultant locations in the US
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and implement strategies that impact business operations.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This full-time position is exempt. Days and hours of work may fluctuate based on needs of the client and the project. Minimum work requirement is 40 hours each week, project may require longer hours and “maintenance window” work, which is considered night shift.
