WHAT WE EMPOWER YOU WITH:

Provide legal counsel and guidance to the officers of Nav and other upper management on all legal matters relevant to the organization.

Review, research, interpret and prepare both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.

Review contracts, leases, and other legal documents; research legal issues and recommend revisions.

Represent or oversee the representation of Nav and upper management in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other agencies.

Select and retain outside counsel, as required, to obtain legal opinions or to handle claims and litigation.

Manage and guide a team of legal and compliance professionals.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in area of Fintech.

Knowledge and understanding of institutional policies and procedures and the regulatory environment within which they operate.

Ability to provide competent legal advice and counsel to senior staff on a wide range of legal and policy issues.

Knowledge of the range of applicable laws and regulations which impact on all facets of Nav policy and operations.

JD degree from a recognized U.S. law school, or foreign legal equivalent, and currently licensed to practice in at least one state bar.

Experience in a high growth environment with a record of accomplishment including driving for results.

Enthusiastic and informed change agent, with a high aptitude to adapt legal frameworks and risk profiles to new business models and new market segments.

Demonstrated deal-making skills that go beyond negotiating legal terms and resolving legal issues.

Detail-orientation and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.

Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality.

Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

You have a firm understanding of the role Legal Counsel plays in a successful organizations quantitative decision-making.

You have experience in a senior leadership role(s) building and leading a team in the Legal and Compliance function.
