Overview

Ensure accurate financial reporting for AssuredPartners Aerospace. Supervise and assume ultimate responsibility for the Payroll, A/P and A/R functions of the Accounting Department, as well as all departmental personnel. Responsible for the company’s general ledger and financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Review and supervise preparation of the monthly reporting package prior to submission for CEO review
  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly submissions of financial data to Corporate (RevNet / EBITDA walk / Top Customers)
  • Supervise A/R, A/P, and Payroll functions, as well as all accounting department personnel
  • Review Bank Reconciliations
  • Review and prepare Standing JVs and Adjusting JVs as necessary
  • Periodic interim review of financial information flow (Annual / Quarterly / Monthly)
  • Manage periodic internal and external audits
  • Manage all state and local tax forms and submissions
  • Monitor fixed asset balances and corresponding depreciation (Annually / Quarterly)
  • Review of Intercompany accounts with AssuredPartners
  • Review and mange excess cash and remit to corporate as necessary
  • Expedite daily banking transactions/transfers as necessary
  • Analysis of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of requested information / analysis for senior management on an as-needed basis to improve profitability and growth
  • Coordination of information requests of the Accounting Department from other departments within the company
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Accounting degree and a 5+ years of related work experience including supervisory experience is required. A CPA professional designation and/or insurance accounting experience is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SOFTWARE: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Outlook a plus. Experience with a G/L or Accouting package is required.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use manual dexterity, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and speak or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 20 lbs. of force to move objects.
