A brighter future is in your hands. We’re currently seeking a Vice President, Human Resources (West). The Vice President, Human Resources partners with the President and works with cross-functional regional leadership team along with HR functional team leaders to drive enterprise policy, processes and systems within the region. This position ensures compliance within the region while serving as the region’s strategic HR leader. This role will also partner and collaborate regularly with other Field HRVPS or Corporate HR team members on various project teams. This position will also be responsible for hiring, leading and developing the regional HR team. Additionally, you will work with the President and senior leadership team to ensure: HR strategies are aligned and executed against business goals. The successful candidate must be a strong business leader first and foremost and an excellent coach and advisor.
What you’ll do:
- Develop strong Talent management process to ensure the company has the human capital to execute its business strategy
- Deploy organizational development strategies to build a performance based culture in line with the BrightView’s organization’s values
- Lead overall process improvement opportunities across the business
- Lead positive employee relations initiatives
- Oversight in all areas of Human Resources within the region, including training, compensation, performance management, organizational development, and communication
- Work with leadership team to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results
- Utilize strong business and HR acumen to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to solve problems and achieve break through results
- Coach managers and supervisors to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness
- Adapt to a fast-paced and growing business environment with changing circumstances and has the desire to thrive in a dynamically growing environment
- Provide change management leadership
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Skills we’re seeking:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field.
Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred
- Minimum 10 years HR generalist experience, 5 of which in a management role
- Prior experience supporting a stand-alone business unit
- Experience in a service industry or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience leading an HR team as multi-site HR leader and partnering with business leaders in a dynamic and fast paced business growth environment required
- Demonstrated capability to communicate and work effectively at all levels of the organization, inspiring respect and credibility.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate organizational change and foster linkage between business objectives and human resources activities.
- Ability to create and maintain a Positive Employee Relations environment throughout complex and changing situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
