RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the strategic and operational priorities and monitoring the performance of the assets in the ASI portfolio.
- Participate in the Acquisition, Diligence, and Closing process in order to ensure a smooth and effective takeover of newly acquired properties.
- Identify and screen and serve as the primary liaison for the third-party property management companies retained by ASI.
- Implement and supervise the construction and/or renovation process of assets.
- Conduct site and market visits for all assets, as necessary.
- Review and approve capital contribution and draw request packages for all assets.
- Participate in the drafting, review, and approval of ASIâs quarterly financial reports for investors.
- Support the CFO in the management of the progress of annual audits and tax returns for assets.
- Prepare investor presentations on market and property performance.
- Review and approve Operating Reserve release requests for any stabilized assets.
- Review of special investor requests such as loan modifications and refinancing, etc.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare Upper Tier Fee requests.
- Oversee annual or more frequent site visit arrangement of stabilized assets.
- Assist and train associates in fostering a professional rapport with all constituents, including investors.

- Strong knowledge of multifamily operations, management, and accounting practices.
- Familiarity of insurance and needed coverage on projects.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
- Very strong quantitative skills.
- Computer proficiency in financial, property, and communication programs.
- Ability to travel. (Approximately 10-40%)
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook including problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Experience with Access and Crystal Reports highly desirable.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or real estate-related field; MBA or other graduate education and/or educational equivalent to job experience highly desirable.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in real estate asset management and related operational activities.
- Extensive experience with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (Section 42) program, debt and equity finance, and HUD programs and practices required.
PREFERENCES
- Reside in Southern California, or willing to relocate. Remote work arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
