Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft’s cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building and operating our unified global datacenters, managing the demand planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure, and responsible for all of the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure.
Strategic Projects and Global Portfolio (SPGP) is a division of Global Portfolio Strategy and Execution, under CO+I. SPGP is responsible for the program management, negotiation, and acquisition of non-fleet or strategic datacenters and for post lease-execution management of the Global Portfolio.

Responsibilities
Your job is to own and drive coordination, organization, and communication for the Strategic Projects team. You will work on global projects to drive communication and process across our organization and adjacent organizations to inform stakeholders and Leadership on Program progress.
- This position will work with a team of existing professionals and multiple vendors to drive real estate acquisitions/leasing that support Microsoft Cloud transformation.
- Manages program behind acquisition of data centers as part of Azure Cloud adoption strategy.
- Refines practices/policies and develops methods/techniques for driving solutions.
- Ability to consult, motivate and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, contractors to take desired action.
- Provides input to long-term delivery strategy and incorporates requirements into the project execution plans.
- Demonstration of success will be evident in the successful partnering with Azure and the Sales Orgs to complete these deals.
- Set clear and challenging goals for portfolio of work and pursues them with defined performance metrics
- Measure metrics attainment to drive decision making and guide process optimization needs
- Own appropriate engagement rhythms and communications with global teams, with a focus on shared understanding of process performance, changes and business value
- Partner with Strategic Pursuits, Digital Win Room, Energy, Finance, Networking, Capacity Planning, Datacenter Operations, and Sourcing teams
- Coordination with global programs stakeholders and datacenter teams to capture new business requirements
- Schedule and coordinate and prepare presentations for Monthly Stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional Program Management experience.

- Excellent communication skills, includes verbal, written and presentation forms.
- Fluent verbal and written English.
- Experience successfully managing in a matrixed organization.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
- Self-starter and resourceful.
- Quick learner, adapt to change.
- Mastery in Office tools, including outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate advance ability to successfully operate in a matrix base organization.
Cloud Background Screening Requirement:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
