Summary:

The Senior Director, SMB Product Development is responsible for technical strategy and execution of Systems Development for all Comcast Business SMB Products . This leader will also support the transition of SMB development to the NextGen systems, This role will drive relentless improvement in the delivery lifecycle and working models and evangelize and coach Agile principles and practices.


Core Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Comcast Business Product Management, Operations Stakeholders, Network Teams and Third-Party Vendors, ensure technology strategy and delivery is aligned to product vision and operational standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular visibility to plans, practices, and deliverables. Regularly work with business partners to ensure common understanding of business objectives and associated value.
  • Lead a team Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, Scrum Masters, and DevOps practitioners, maintaining alignment of software development practices and governance standards, as well as to Product priorities and Operational guidelines.
  • Partner with the NextGen program leadership and development teams to effectuate the transition of SMB development to the strategic B/OSS stack.
  • Focus on Customer Experience by continuously applying design thinking principles to features, designs, and delivery.
  • Facilitate delivery of value-based results by coaching Lean and Agile principles and practices
  • Partner with technical domain leads to ensure continuous collaboration and alignment in technology strategy and execution.
  • Develop financial models and consistently track budget and approve financial milestones.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and act as a change agent in the organization to drive a better product development outcomes.
  • Develop employees by regularly setting expectations, conducting frequent check-ins, supporting training and growth, and providing feedback. Conduct NPS Huddles and contact Customers for feedback.
  • Encourage an environment that values mutual respect, openness, and courage.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience developing software utilizing Agile development methodologies, Java, Angular, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, Cloud technologies, etc.
  • Experience leading SW development teams and partnering with operations to implement CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Experience transitioning development from one set of platforms or technologies to another and supporting the resulting migrations is preferred
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of Lean-Agile methods and practices, skill applying them at scale and ability to influence practice at all levels, from individual contributors to senior leaders
  • Ability to form productive relationships quickly at all organizational levels
  • Self-confident and comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
  • Flexible and adaptable while maintaining a high-degree of execution excellence
  • Ability to develop and negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
