The Special Projects Director will coordinate and oversee special projects under the direction of the CEO. The individual will be the lead staff in developing new resources and expands Arkayâs public relations through networking,grants, and donor relationships with foundations and businesses. The individual in this position will be responsible for: Identification of potential new funding sources, development of funding resources for existing and proposed programs and/or services, writing grants and assisting others writing grants,collaborating on grant applications with various and community organizations,and processing, monitoring and coordinating required report evaluations on existing grants. Compensation commensurate with experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school with a minimum of a Masterâs Degree.
- Creative & entrepreneurial skills required.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and work independently;
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands.
- High level of process orientation and an attitude oriented towards people & processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with businesses & prospective donor organizations.

- Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Internet Explorer. Generally, requires 2-5 years related experience.
- Must be self-motivated, flexible and a team player with the ability to work independently as well as with others.
