BMC is looking for a best-in-class creative, analytical and driven Social Media Marketing Manager to join our growing digital marketing team. This role will be instrumental in increasing BMC’s social media presence, growing followers and engagement, and increasing visibility for the BMC brand with our B2B target audience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the social media landscape and is passionate about staying current with social media trends and best practices. The Social Media Marketing Manager will maintain the analytics dashboard and compile data to use in social media reporting. He or she is self-motivated with the ability to work well independently, but also interact with multiple internal and external teams and agencies.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Showcase BMC’s brand story to our target audience (building professionals like builders, remodelers, contractors) on key platforms, aligned with our engagement and growth objectives. Key tasks include the following:

  • Develop the company’s social media strategy, plan, and establish goals that are aligned to support key company objectives.
  • Curate relevant, high-quality, on-brand content for all social media channels.
  • Implement an editorial calendar to manage content, campaigns and contests across platforms.
  • Act as an advocate for the company in the social media space, engaging with followers, answering questions, identifying meaningful influencers and micro-influencers opportunities.
  • Create and manage a regular publishing schedule and leverage social media tools to maximize efficiency.
  • Establish clear goals and produce a social media dashboard to measure performance against KPI’s, analyze the data for trends, tweak strategy as appropriate, and report out results to management on a regular basis.
  • Build relationships and regularly interact with a variety of people inside and outside the organization to secure relevant content, develop campaigns to support key initiatives, and more.
  • Work with graphic design team to create branded post graphics, social ad campaigns, cover photos, profile pics, landing pages, etc.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, hashtags, content, channels, competitors, design and strategy.
  • Identify negative or potential crisis situations and apply conflict resolution within the established escalation framework.
  • Obtain “re-share” permissions from users who have tagged their photos with BMC and create “re-share” post photos and caption with repost app.
  • Audit users we follow to make sure we are following/engaging with top customers and suppliers, and other business partners.


OTHER

  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop the SEO strategy and create actionable recommendations to optimize and increase Collaborate with development and content resources to implement recommendations and measure progress against established goals and adapt in accordance with market changes.
  • Manage company’s online reputation within established platforms. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review in a timely manner, in coordination with local market management, and build review generation program.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing social media strategy and executing it for a medium to large [public] organization, preferably in the B2B space.
  • Experience working with social media publishing tools like Hootsuite, Planoly, Tailwind, etc. and SEO tools like SEMrush preferred.
