Description:
Under the general direction of a Branch Manager, the Senior Operations Manager, is responsible for the strategic oversight of the branch operations and production. Leads the operation managers and has oversight of commercial grounds maintenance, landscape enhancement and snow removal operations. Collaborates with the operations managers and account managers for effective scheduling, workforce, equipment and resources planning. Works with branch manager to maximize efficiencies. Collaborates with safety manager and leads branch and industry safety best practices.

Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to
- Workforce and Production Planning
- Strategic oversight and management of the branch operations and production
- Leads the operational team of managers
- Property inspections to ensure high quality is achieved
- Collaborates and works with Branch Manager and Account Manager to ensure customer, employees, and job site needs are met
- Collaborate with sub-contractors
- Supports the achieving of the profitability objectives.
- Training of operations team, and employee development
- Hiring and on-boarding new employees with assistance from HR support
- Establishing and promoting positive relationships with local vendors, service partners, and the general public locally.
- Participates in sharing of best-practices with other Managers and key-personnel throughout the company.
- Timely cooperative collaboration with other company departments including the executive team
- Accurate submission of all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Supports the branch’s income statement performance to budget.
- Collaborates as necessary with corporate Service Center to make bulk parts and supplies purchases, and to track the maintenance & repairs of vehicles and equipment.
- Reports operations metrics to executive team
- Reports all incidents, accidents, and injuries immediately.
- Participates in branch and corporate-level meetings either remotely or in person, as needed.
- Setâs both short- & long-range strategic plans, which coincide with the company’s overall strategic plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Professional-level knowledge and experience within the commercial landscape maintenance and snow removal industry (preferred)
- Preferred industry/related knowledge in operations and sales
- Must have management experience ⢠Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management skills
- Able to work as a team and take direction from multiple sources
- Be a self-starter, able to productively work for extended periods of time with minimal direct supervision
- Self-motivated, well organized, and works with professionalism
- Must have a positive and friendly attitude
- Must have working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook
