POSITION SUMMARY:
The consumer journey from awareness to conversion is experiencing an unprecedented change. From emerging eCommerce shopping platforms (grocery pick-up and delivery) to significant advancements in retailer CRM and digital media, the CPG retail marketing landscape has changed forever. Winning in this environment requires skills in; Consumer Marketing, Professional selling, Technology, Media and understanding Omni Channel commerce. As the Retail Media Manager, you will be primarily be responsible for the cross-platform development, activation, measurement and media optimization of all Retail Media investments including programs and experiments that focus on converting shoppers into buyers of our categories and our brands. In this role you will provide counsel and expertise on how to leverage channel and retail intelligence to solve media business issues through strategic recommendations, partners and activation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improving investment ROI, Enhancing Brand Holistic Retail Media Presence, Developing Partnerships with Retail Media teams (e.g. WMG), and Achievement of Media Performance Targets
- Demonstrate ‘Category First’ mindset and develop plans to drive demand and conversion in the OMNI Space.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across CME, Marketing and Sales to understand retailer growth objectives, strategies, and consumer behaviors
- Provide Retail Media strategy and activation leadership and expertise.
- Supports the advancement of capabilities and understanding of the evolving Retail Media landscape across the organization.
- Develop POV on retailer as a media and data provider opportunities with process and best practices in place for brands to leverage.
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop recommendations inclusive of establishing KPIs and measurement plan/success criteria.
- Provide activation strategies and plans that change/drive shopper behaviors in the marketplace.
- Leverage full-funnel paid media recommendations for stronger holistic impact.
- Activate Retail Media programs using tactics including digital media and search.
- Deploy Media best practices and establish guidelines for Retail Media, especially as it relates performance, transparency, efficiency and brand safety requirements.
- Lead assessment, RFP and deliverables of Retail Media agency partners.
- Leverage retail media partners, industry groups and SME network to continuously bring emerging opportunities, technologies and platforms to enhance our recommendations and activations for increased business impact.
- Educate and train Marketing and Sales on the evolving retail media landscape.
- Aligning corporate and customer objectives to develop find mutual benefits utilizing retail media strategies and tactics. Deliver strong ROAS/ROI on investments. Manages assigned budgets.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of experience; 2-3+ years at Client or Agency leading strategic planning and activation with a focus on eCommerce and Retail Media/Strategy
- Retail Media expertise working with partners like Walmart Media Group, Kroger 84.51, and Amazon Advertising
- Experience leading the development of strategic Retail Media recommendations
- Investment and activation experience with Digital Media and Paid Search, with emphasis on Retail Media
- Demonstrated business performance success
- Client, Retailer or Agency Media leadership and experience
- CPG Experience preferred
- Ability to influence within and across Divisions
- Results/Performance Driven
- Core Strategic Foundation to create short- and long-term value for consumers, shoppers, and customers to drive profitable growth for the company
- Collaborative strengths to develop relationships with internal teams, agencies as well as retail media partners
